About

My art is my creative form of expression. My work is directly influenced by themes I find raw, emotional, and provocative. Whatever affects me emotionally or physically, paints are my first choice. Initially, using art as a coping mechanism and a form of escapism in my childhood, I have channeled my art into means of expressing raw and provocative subjects that expose my insecurities, important chapters, and emotions.

As I have evolved as an artist, my work has become deeply intertwined with the themes of the contemporary world - challenging societal norms, confronting discomfort, and questioning the barriers we impose on self-expression. Portraiture, in particular, has become a central element of my creative exploration. It is more than just a physical form; it is vulnerability, liberation, and an unfiltered reflection of identity. Through my work, I seek to unmask the taboos that restrict us around identity, as well as simply expressing illustrating the contemporary in a unfiltered way. For example, I look to peel away the layers of stigma and repression that society has built around the human body and emotion, more specifically what I have built around myself.

To me, art is my own personal journey.
